The Remaining Pipes

Neil Groep threw down his makeshift weapon, threw off his belt, left Chris Venatio standing where he was and stomped off into the forest. He didn't let anything get in his way, plowing through brush, snapping sticks, and hardly even moving for trees. Tim Buzi and Mario Rassembler looked at each other for a moment before following Neal into the forest.
"Neil," Tim yelled ahead, trying to get Neil's attention. “Hey, Neil!”
Neil turned around and faced them with a deadly vitriol. "They’re demons, those three girls, that’s what they are, demons," he bellowed. "They turned them against us. I know they did, they turned them against us."
Neil turned and plowed again through some thick bushes which grabbed at his clothes and scratched up his skin, tearing his jeans and shredding his shirt to tatters.
"Neil," Tim tried again with Mario following close behind him, both trying to keep up with Neil.
"They turned the energy shields off, that's what they did," Neil bellowed as he nearly ran into a tree. "They turned our energy shields off so they could get to us, so they could attack us and destroy the Pipes."
"Neil," Mario tried while he and Tim still tried following him over some sharp rocks in a ravine that ran through the forest, slipping and getting his tennis shoes wet.
"They turned them against us," Neal continued. "It was the three girls. They turned them against us so that when they turned off the shields, they could attack us."
The three left the forest and were now walking across the Pythagoras Area towards the Student Center.
       "Neil," Tim tried again.
"They tried to destroy us with dark energy," Neil angrily said. "They've mutinied against me. They’ve mutinied against the Pipes. They tried to destroy the Pipes with dark energy."
They had reached the Student Center, walked through the watermelon colored doors, past the long line of student organizations, and into the restaurant area. There they saw tables with students milling about, but one in particular would interest Neil.
"Neil," Tim tried once more. "What do you want us to do about Dustin, Bill, and Jeff? We just left them back there."
Neil ignored him and walked up to a table with Stacy Delecto, Anika Perperam, and Earlen Uekte, seated with Todd Vals and Briel Gimei. The girls were joking about something while Todd smiled wide and big at Neil, looking him up and down. "You guys must've had a tough night," he chuckled.
Neil turned around and walked away from them, speaking to Tim and Mario with scalding intensity, "Leave them. They’re not Pipes anymore. I don't ever want to see them again."
