In days gone past, gangs would run with guns and drugs, clashing with each other, terrorizing the streets, and defacing cities and towns. They progressed to machine type guns, high powered weapons, rocket launchers, and even various nuclear devices. The devastation was horrible. Whole neighborhoods or cities were laid waste. Gangs led to terrorism which led to pronounced international conflicts, war, and ruined cities and economies.
But things have changed. The guns, drugs, and nukes are gone. That doesn't mean that there's world peace; far from it. Things have actually become much worse. What could be worse than guns, drugs, and rampant nuclear bombs? Dark energy. Known to most as Gero Energy after disastrous discovery by Dr. Greta Gero in 2042, dark energy is beginning to emerge in a host of new inventions from graduates of Atraville College. For those of you who haven't yet heard of Atraville College, it's a premier college specializing in extra-dimensional physics in Atraville, a northwest suburb of Chicago of the United States. Atraville has an environment that fosters amazing inventions. In fact, students compete with each other at a place at the center of campus called the 'Inventor's Isle.' Tori Trefabol, a graduate of Atraville back in the forties, invented air soccer, which has become amazingly popular. Chris Venatio, another more recent graduate of Atraville, created Venatio Energy Fights, which has become even more popular.
But Chris has other inventions, and among them is a device that operates from the new dark energy. It's called the Rupter, and it has been a big hit on the streets. Never heard of it? Sure you have; you just didn't know it by that name. The Rupter, as it's affectionately called on the streets, has destroyed marriages, devastated families, broken friendships, separated brothers, split companies, and estranged people all over our beloved world. This is all as was prophesied in the Tilata Ancient Physics in 1047:29. “They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.”
The devices work by radiating Gero Energy at a frequency which is known to cause relational breakdown. Gero Energy feels good since it's a powerful stimulant, endowing the recipient with youthful vigor. But this makes it all the more dangerous, because those whom it affects feel purposeful and powerful even as the breakdown destroys their lives. The original purpose, of course, was to destroy the opponent's gang. But the side affects will rip apart society.
How is this possible when many haven't even heard of the device? Dark energy is a silent killer. Neo-energy gangs have infiltrated every segment of society, shooting at each other with their Rupters while the rest of us get caught in the cross fire. So what does this mean? As it is prophesied in the Tilata 907:2, “Everything on the earth will be destroyed, declares Kataastaasan.” It means that this world which has withstood so many wars, so many plagues, so many civilizations, and so much progress will fall to Rupters and the dark energy. And it may fall soon.
